Heirloom Napa Kimchi - Pogi Style
Our traditional pogi kimchi is inspired by my family recipe passed down by my Imo (aunt) and handmade in small batches in Athens, Ohio.
100% of the vegetables and fruit are grown by our friends on small farms in Appalachia Ohio.
Trouvaille Farm: heirloom napa cabbage, spring onion, ginger, garlic
Shade River Farm: daikon, napa cabbage
Attican Farms: gochu peppers
Wagner's Fruit Farm: asian pear
The seasoning is a mix of locally grown and dried gochu peppers and Imo's favorite premium Korean gochu powder—it's spicy, fruity, and slightly smoky.
Hei Hei kimchi is vegan, gluten free, and naturally fermented.
Pogi kimchi leaves the cabbage in whole pieces and undergoes a very slow cold fermentation resulting in a kimchi that is unbelievably delicious - crunchy, sweet, and not too sour.
This product is currently available for pick-up and delivery in Athens. Pick-up at ACEnet on Thursday 5-7PM or at the Athens Farmers Market Saturday 9AM-12PM.
