My favorite shirt is a double XL peach colored long sleeve shirt that features “some covered bridges of Ohio”. The shirt includes fun facts like Ohio has the second most covered bridges in the USA. It’s funny, big, and pink, and it’s my power suit equivalent- I’ve worn it to many important business meetings. This shirt is the work of Pull Cub Studio in Cincinnati.

Pull Club is Amy, Linda, and Chelsea. They met at the Art Academy of Cincinnati and had too much fun making art together to stop. They make art with sustainability at the core of their practice. Also core to their practice- good bad jokes, sour candy, nature, and the Midwestern landscape. Hei Hei and Pull Club was a match made in heaven aka Paw Paw Fest, where I met the ladies for the first time in 2024.

We knew that when we were ready to make a Hei Hei shirt, Pull Club would be our #1 choice to collaborate with. We met with them and we all loved the idea of doing a fermentation / kimchi shirt together. Linda knocked it out of the park with her illustrations. A few weeks ago we got the chance to visit the Pull Club studio. Hanging out with Amy and Linda felt like being plunked into a Nora Ephron film. Equal parts wit, insight, and heart. Very warm fuzzy vibes.
